The Hollywood-NFL Dating Game
While Hollywood stars have long gone for basketball and baseball players, not to mention tennis stars and bike racing phenoms, there haven't been as many celebrity romances with football stars -- Paris Hilton's momentary dalliance with Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matthew Leinart notwithstanding. Why not more couples like New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady and girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, an actress who will appear in the pilot episode of ABC's new series Six Degrees?
Is it because gridiron stars are so big? An offensive or defensive lineman can weigh 300 lbs, so that's a little challenging for a size zero like Lindsay Lohan. Or is it that when these guys play, nobody can see their faces because they're covered with masks? Maybe the NFL needs to create more opportunities for glamour shots on the field, because a good, juicy romance with an actress is good for the sport. A red carpet entry to the stadium before each game? After parties at hot clubs? It's working for the five couples I've got pictured here, with more after the jump...

Two things - where is Elizabeth Hasselback's hand going and how did an intelligent cutie like Patricia Southall end up marrying an ignoramous like Martin Lawrence. No wonder it only lasted a year.
Patricia Southhall went with the winner at the time. Martin was up for a minute, making good money and could have given the exposure she really desires. We can't hate on his accomplishments. She used her 7th sense with leaving Martin sooner than later. On the other hand..don't judge a book by its' pretty cover.
Wait a minute! I don't think you should be so quick to call Martin Lawrence an ingnoramous. I would think it has taken some intelligence to make some of the business decisions that he has made. Martin has been very successful. Whether Ms. Southall wanted a little laughter in her life or whether she wanted a very successful man, I think she got it in Martin. Things just didn't work out! I think assuming Martin Lawrence is unintelligent would be an ignorant assumption, wouldn't you?
I was in Aruba during the Sinbad Music Festival and was there the moment Emmitt and Patricia met. We were leaving the concert and crossing a grass field to the club. She was wearing a light green, long silk dress. She was nonchalant and although I couldn't hear what he was saying, he body language was showing that he was trying his best to talk her into dating him. Looks like he won.
They say Emmitt's wife is an actress. What has she played/starred in? I can't say that I have seen her in anything.

Ben and Missy are still together. Or at least as of last week. She was on ESPN with him and his family watching Carlee is sister play basketball in Oklahoma.
Missy isn't going anywhere. It's about time for his big contract deal. Shes not going to leave him now.
No more distance problems. She lives here in Pittsburgh now. She has been on couple radio shows and does talk about him. He's still mums about here though. She mentioned getting ready to go to Hawaii with him. Assume she decided to give up the acting career or what there was of it. Talks about being so independent yet latches on to a guy who is paying for everything. Way to go Missy. Use those brains. Just kidding. He certainly isnt dating her for her brains.
