A little baseball news first: Yankees say sayonara..with their loss Monday night to the Cleveland Indians, they are out of the post season. The talk all week will be whether the Yankees manager, Joe Torre will be fired. The only upside is ESPN keeps playing the classic Seinfeld clips of Larry David voicing Steinbrenner ranting and raving.
On to Football: What an exciting weekend!! The Pats remain dominant, as do the Colts, the Packers fell, and the Steelers proved they’re the best 4-1 team out there. And there’s more…
LaDainian Tomlinson and the Chargers ran all over the Broncos, amassing over 200 total rushing yards between Tomlinson and their other RB, Michael Turner. Unfortunately, this was the last game (for awhile) for Broncos Running Back Travis Henry. He was caught with marajuana, and will probably be suspended by the NFL. I think he should take a page from the life of former Dolphins Running-Back, Ricky Williams (also a Mary Jane user), and use this opportunity to tour the country with Lenny Kravitz. (San Diego 41, Denver 3)
The Giants prevailed in the ‘Battle of New York”, beating the Jets in both of their respective home stadiums. This allowed Jets QB Chad Pennington the rare opportunity to be booed by both the visiting and the home crowd. (NY Giants 35, NY Jets 24)
In a game winning field goal by Houston Texans’ kicker Kris Brown, The Miami Dolphins lost their fifth straight game, putting them at 0-5. This puts them exactly where everybody thought they would be, and it’s rare that so many people are that right. (Houston 22, Miami 19). On a sad note, Miami QB Trent Green, sustained a grade three concussion.
Hey everybody, don’t look now, but the Washington Redskins… actually look good!!!! The Detroit Lions could do absolutely NOTHING against them, and Jason Campbell (the Redskins 2nd year QB) looked like a young Joe Namath. Well, maybe more like a young Eli Manning. (Washington 34, Detroit 3)
Okay, quick quiz to test how well your brain works. I’m going to tell you the name of a 3-1 team, and then in two quick seconds, you have to tell me someone who plays for that team. Not even the die-hard NFL fan can do this one. Ready… are you sure you’re ready? Okay –
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS AND YOU CAN’T SAY MAURICE JONES-DREW OR FRED TAYLOR.
Uh…
Uh…
Uh…
BAM — 2 seconds! I knew you couldn’t do it.
(Jacksonville 17, Kansas City 7)
Watercooler Discussion: Should Joe Torre be fired? And, do you think that the Miami Dolphins QB Trent Green should return for the season after his horrific concussion on Sunday?

Trent Green should definitely sit down. This is the 2nd time in consecutive seasons that he's had a concussion. He just needs to stop.
I think baseball coaches are over-rated. Football is all about strategy and the plan. Baseball is about how good the starting pitcher plays. One great pitcher can make a manager look brilliant or really stupid. Its hard to imagine having the Yankees payroll and talent and not winning. That being said, lots of players may not want to play for the Yankees with someone other than Torre, so maybe he should stay. But telling the press that the manager would be fired if he did not win, during the playoffs, was absurd. Where is the Yankees GM during all of this. GO RUDY!
Regarding Trent Green: I thought you didnt find out the real effects of a concussion till a week after the injury!
