Tiger never ceases to amaze! Tiger won his 14th (yes 14th!!!) Major Monday placing him in the "we are not worthy" category of athletes. Not only did he win his 14th, but won in style (91 holes later in the US Open against Rocco Mediate). Mediate proved to be an incredible competitor (with a great story). He almost didn't even make the Open cut...but he survived a sudden death playoff to qualify and almost beat one of the greatest golfers ever!

Tiger played through terrible knee pain (after having knee surgery) and will likely be taking a break for awhile to heal.

Baseball

In other news, after much speculation (in fact, hourly speculation), the Mets finally fired Manager Willie Randolph. The Mets are 34-35 this season (not so great with the highest payroll in 2008 at $138M).  This is no surprise to anyone particularly after the Mets' historic collapse last season. Jerry Manuel will take over as intermim manager.
